The food took a while to arrive, not so good, but the portion size made me think we were in the deep south of the USA. OMG. I ordered a Tavern Works burger and it was the first burger ever I had to tackle with a knife and fork. Believe me, I tried with the time honoured two hands. The friendly waiter walking by offered me extra paper napkins to wipe up the mess I was making with a sympathetic smile. When I admitted defeat to the older and wiser friend sitting opposite he just laughed.
Looking around the table there are many full tummies and slow moving people.
My wife asked for a doggy bag and was obliged with a smile.
It's a nice, friendly place.
If you're hungry, and patient, come here for a real country feed.
